EMPOWERING FEMALE ATHLETES
Advancing equity, participation, and opportunity across sports and fitness
The Female Athlete Empowerment Committee brings together female executives, current and former athletes, and dedicated allies from across the sports & fitness industry to champion the advancement of girls and women in sports and fitness. As part of the Sports & Fitness Industry Association, the committee serves as a collaborative forum focused on education, awareness, and action, ensuring the unique needs of female athletes are recognized, supported, and prioritized.
Through storytelling, education, and advocacy, the committee works to increase participation, reduce early dropout, and strengthen long-term engagement for female athletes at every level. By highlighting both the challenges and the growth of women’s sports, the committee helps SFIA members better serve female athletes while contributing to a more inclusive, equitable, and sustainable future for sport.
