SFIA's Super Regional Series brings the sports and fitness industry together to a local city to help build community.
Read moreThroughout the year, SFIA hosts webinars to provide attendees access to timely expertise and interactive guidance to address pressing industry challenges.
SFIA Webinars are FREE for members and $259 for non-members. Each webinar is 30-45 minutes of a presentation, followed by live Q&A. Recordings of each webinar and contact information are provided free for members, and to non-members who registered. Slide decks will be provided if applicable.

August 1: Supply Chain Disruptions, Due Diligence and Crisis Management

Global businesses continue to face major supply chain disruptions as a result of strict enforcement of new laws (human rights/forced labor) and shipping delays caused by conflicts and the threat of port labor disruptions at East & Gulf Coast Ports this fall. Failure to comply with these laws or navigate shipping delays can cause economic harm, catastrophic business disruptions and are a PR nightmare. This webinar is intended to help companies minimize risks and avoid the harms caused by these supply chain disruptions, including such topics as:
Enforcement of New Laws — Human rights/forced labor
· Summary of applicable laws (e.g., UFLPA, Canada’s Forced Labor Bill, EU’s Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive)
· Examining the enforcement trends, target industries, products and countries.
· Guidance on supply chain due diligence best practices, such as effective internal controls, third-party service providers, software systems and resources available to business to assess and minimize risks of forced labor in the supply chain
· Crisis management – responding to adverse CBP enforcement actions to minimize business disruptions
Shipping Disruptions
· Summary of shipping disruptions, global conflicts, East/Gulf Coast Port Labor Contract status, timeline for potential strikes/slowdowns at ports, increased costs (e.g., freight, demurrage and detention) and trends
· Best practices to avoid Port Labor disruptions to supply chains, minimize shipping delays and keep costs down
· Crisis management – responding to shipping/supply chain disruptions
