SFIA Promotes Lisa Futterman to Senior Manager, Marketing and Communications
(March 4, 2025) – The Sports & Fitness Industry Association (SFIA) announced today the addition of Bonnie McLaughlin as Vice President, External Affairs & Industry Relations, to its Executive Team. McLaughlin will oversee external affairs, industry relations, and communications and marketing when she begins her new role on Monday, March 10, 2025.
The organization also announced the promotion of Lisa Futterman to Senior Manager, Marketing and Communications. Futterman, who has been with SFIA for nearly four years, will report directly to McLaughlin.
McLaughlin brings extensive experience from her previous roles as Vice President, Public Sector & Public Affairs at RH Strategic Communications, as well as: Executive Director, Global Partnerships & Marketing at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce; Senior Director for the Drink Up! Campaign; Director of Account Management at the Tribeca Film Festival.
Throughout her career, McLaughlin has developed and delivered industry-leading advocacy, marketing, communications, thought leadership, and research-driven campaigns.

Futterman’s promotion recognizes her contributions in overseeing marketing and communications initiatives that drive SFIA’s membership engagement, industry education, research publications, event promotion, and public policy.
