This committee serves as a member-only forum for thought leadership, focusing on critical issues related to human resources, diversity, equity, inclusion, and talent acquisition. It provides a unique opportunity for members to engage in peer-to-peer networking and collaboratively address challenges and opportunities within their functional responsibilities. Through these efforts, the People & Culture Committee actively contributes to the overall success and growth of SFIA and its members.
COMMITTEE OBjectives:
- Amplify SFIA’s Value, Mission, and Brand: The committee works together to enhance the visibility and reputation of SFIA, ensuring that its value and mission resonate within the industry.
- Member-Only Thought Leader Forum: Establishing a platform for members to engage in strategic discussions on critical topics such as human resources, diversity, equity, and inclusion, fostering an environment of continuous learning and innovation.
- Peer-to-Peer Network Resource: Facilitating a network of professionals who can share insights, best practices, and solutions related to human resources, talent acquisition, diversity, equity, inclusion, and other related issues.
- Addressing Industry Challenges: Collaboratively addressing challenges faced by members in human resources, diversity, equity, and inclusion, contributing to the industry’s positive development.
COMMITTEE OBjectives:
- Engaging SFIA Members: Promoting active engagement among SFIA members on critical industry issues through committee participation, SFIA events and webinars, and available communication channels
- Identifying Educational Opportunities: Proactively identifying educational opportunities that align with the committee’s focus areas, fostering continuous learning and development for the association and its committee members
- Thought Leadership Forums: Serving as a valuable resource for thought leadership forums through blogs, event moderation, panel participation, or presentations. This provides a platform for members to share insights and expertise in the specified operational areas.
- Vetting SFIA Preferred Partners: Vetting and potentially endorsing SFIA Preferred Partners that offer member benefits in human resources, talent acquisition, professional development, health & wellness, and diversity, equity, and inclusion. This ensures members have access to trusted resources that align with SFIA’s mission.
- Supporting Excelerator Program: Actively supporting the Excelerator Program, contributing to the development and growth of emerging professionals within the industry. The committee plays a crucial role in managing and promoting this program that shapes future leaders in the sports, sporting goods, and fitness sectors.
- Young Professional Network Development: Contributing to establishing and growing a Young Professional Network within SFIA. This initiative aims to educate, connect, and develop the next generation of industry leaders.
